I have not posted for a while, so here goes again. I am searching for the parents and siblings of John Moyers/Myers who married Catherine Couch in Greene Co,m TN 16 Aug., 1789. I do not know where he was before he shows up in Greene Co. The Greene Co. book refers to him as John Myers Esq. of Pennsylvania. All the records I have of him are as John Myers, but his marriage record lists him as John Moyers. I used to think that that was just a variation in spelling, but now I am inclined to thin he went by John Moyers before coming into Tn. I don't know when or where he was born, but he died in 1835 in Greene Co. His oldest daughter Catherine m. Reuben West. He also had children: Peter, Susannah, Barbara, Elizabeth, Mary (Polly), Christopher (my ancestor), and Jacob. Christopher married Arpy Manes and Susanna and Mary Polly both married Manes boys. Am hoping someone can give me some clues or steer me in the right direction. Betty
