    3. Thus far, from the Library of Congress; while searching thru over 12 billion digital text files they've put online so far this is what I have found when I did a simple search for "Julius MEYER". Native American portraits LC Control Number: 91482651 Type of Material: Photograph, Print, Drawing (Collection) Brief Description: Native American portraits [graphic]. 1865-1880. 5 photoprints on cards : albumen ; 9 x 5 cm. or smaller. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CALL NUMBER: LOT 12960 (F) -- Request in: Prints & Photographs Reading Room (Madison, LM337) -- Status: Not Charged I'm figuring out that the Library of Congress has in it's holdings at least a hundred or more photo's taken in what I believe was Julius MEYERS / MYERS (seen spelled both ways) Photography Studio located in Denver, Colorado during the 1860-1886 or so. He apparently took many pictures of the Indians in that area; especially enjoying posing with them. Either he or his descendants donated them to the Library for historical purposes. Reading a bit futher, there are "Call Numbers" and statements that suggest that anyone can order copies as a loan; or view them at the library freely. But who was he? I'll continue my search but my eyes are rolling backwards. Another exciting Friday night... again i'll be searching at the Westminster Library, very near the PA border in Amish Country here in Maryland tomorrow. Will keep the old Jacob MOYER/MYERS/MEYER eye open. good night folks. -- Chrystie MYERS - ROOTSWEB.COM List Administrator - [email protected] BROOKOVER, COWGER, KRABAL, MOYERS, MYRES, SWECKER
