Question for the Day; 1 - WHO DO YOU BELIEVE or HAVE PROVEN WAS YOUR IMMIGRANT ANCESTOR? 2 - WHAT YEAR AND PLACE THEY DID ARRIVE? 3 - WHERE DID THEY MIGRATE TO FROM THERE, OR WHERE YOU WOULD SPECULATE? I am told by Sevierville County Library; another researcher in the same are of TN; also by other various reseachers; and people connected to my lineage this - I am someday going to get down to TN to research the records myself and take it from there but til now below is my speculation. Self, Dau of Thomas Andrew MYERS b. in Hiawasse, Towns Co., GA Thomas, so fo Ollie Jake MYERS b. in Cades Cove, Blount Co., TN Ollie, son os Andrew Jackson "Little Andy MYERS b. in Elkmont; moved throu Treamont; later settled in old Holly Springs, now known as Little Cove, Sevier Co., TN. Andrew Jackson, son of Pleasant Andrew MYERS b. in Elkmont, Blount Co., TN Pleasant, son of James "Napoleon" N.J. MYERS & Margaret Caroline LINDSEY; they migrated around because he was a "Circuit Rider" for the Baptist Ministry; though I have speculative thoughts that he might have been part of the "Methodist" that used "Baptist" churches in the Cove areas of Blount, Cocke, Sumner, Greene and Sevier Co., TN. He is buried at Little Cove Baptist Church; land that he deeded; once known as Holly Springs Primitive Bapt. Church. James Napoleon, son of Suzannah MOYERS b. 1808; seen as Susan MYERS in 1840 & 1850 Jefferson Co., TN census records. It is speculation that James was the son of her divorced husband "Pastor Enoch(k) WILLOUGHBY" b. Abt 1797 Fanquier, VA; m. April 13, 1831 in Dandridge, Jefferson Co., TN; son of Benjamin WILLOUGHBY and Susan Wyatt both recorded as b. in Hampshire Co., VA ca 1760. Enoch had a brother names Elijah m. Susannah Leachman on October 29, 1787 in Fauquier Co., VA, her sister Mary Leachman m. Elijah and Enoch's brother, John "Sr." Willoughby w/children John, Winney and Elizabeth. This WILLOUGHBY family shows up in the Greene Co., TN area; living very near two Henry MYERS; two Christopher MYERS; an Abraham MYERS; several Jacob MYERS. I know that there are NO MYERS showing up in Sevier Co., TN census records till aft 1850-60. I've looked and relooked. The MYERS/MOYERS were not apart of Sevier CO., Tn till at least after these dates. I believe, like Bobbye and a few others out here taht there is a defineate connection to Henry, Jacob, Christopher and Abraham - I believe they might have been children, cousin and brothers to the infamous Hans Georg Jacob MAJER, seen spelled as MOYER in the 1717 2nd colony of Germmana, which went at one time was Madison and Culpeper County, VA. Orange County fits in here too somehow. There are also BLACKBURNS, like Reverand Gideon BLACKBURN who was directly related to Mary Polly BLACKBURN who m. James David MOYERS, later seen as MYERS. He was the son of Christopher MOYERS; and the parent to above Suzannah (Susan MYERS) MOYERS who m. Enoch WILLOUGHBY. I'm putting this out here in the event anyone has any new information that they can add to this. I'm told that Enoch WILLOUGHBY left Jefferson Co., TN early 1800's from the famous sermon and ended up in Montgomery Co., KY. I can say that there are alot of WILLOUGHBY'S in that area still to this day.
