The oldest cemtery in Stephens City, once known as Stephensburg and later Newtown Stephens City holds the oldest known and orginal settlers - the ones the town was named after. Their names were obvious, "STEPHENS". Most archives are held at the Handley Revional Library in downtown Winchester; Stephens City is abt 3 miles outh on Rt 11. This library holds all records for Frederick County and Clarke.
