thanks suzi... well we got the commode unstopped, at 5 in the morning we finally got the water cut off and we got in bed at 6 am monday morn (had to empty the little pan every 3.7 minutes). the old man and i had lots of fun nudging each other that it is "your time" not thine. i finished my 11 washers of sheets and towels, folded but not put away. had to go to visitation tonight, funeral tomorrow at 11. we think that we have the water stopped from leaking (line that leads from the washer to the laundry icemaker and fridge) in the insulation of the walls. now you talk about something smelling (we thought it was food but was instead soured wet insulation. we have fans now blowing into the area. the rugs are dry in the hall and we soaked up all of the water with all of the towels. it has to end somewhere and hopefully, this is it...positive attitude....but a very tired old man and old woman are trying to get over the ordeal. the worst thing is that i use to handle things like this and it was a snap...today with age, it is not...part of that is worry about mother....we try to make every day a final one and that way, we will have done our best to give her the best. love and blessings, suzi. helen.
