    3. Linda, Any suggestions? I tried the Southern Baptist Organization - they swear they have records dating back to the "Circuit Riding days" - nope - no help. They couldn't even tell me where to begin. In bigger cities historical societies and libraries, like here in Baltimore carry alot of records - but in the smaller mountainous areas I might have to wait til I can get to TN and just start banging on doors. -- Chrystie MYERS - ROOTSWEB.COM List Administrator - [email protected] BROOKOVER, COWGER, KRABAL, MOYERS, MYRES, SWECKER

    3. Let me know if it's printing out ok. And who is Julius MYERS??????????? I don't believe I've ever seen that first name in my travels. Has anybody any idea??? There were alot of MOYER MYERS that wrote about the Indians plight which might explain why so many of us have been handed down info from our grandparents that we have Indian mixed in with the other blood - this Julius, I have to look up more on him at the Library of Congress - shall report my findings;) P.S. I was told today that my website is being observed by "higher uppers" For those that know what I'm talking about - the court thing. Well, at least they can't say I'm an idle whatever. Just not sure if 'they" will claim the "See, she can get by without him"... you know. -- Chrystie MYERS - ROOTSWEB.COM List Administrator - [email protected] BROOKOVER, COWGER, KRABAL, MOYERS, MYRES, SWECKER

    3. That "MOYER BOOK" is something else, huh! I put everything out here for free - to share. Honestly, I don't believe anyone has rights to our ancestors. They're historical. You know. But to hear that they used my words and work and are selling it to others for $40 bucks - makes my stomach turn a bit. Not for me, but for people, not knowing any better who will pay this out. Really sad, isn't it. I've bought books out here too only to find their reprints, just a word or two changed in the title. Wow, that "woman" that wrote this book probably doesn't know it but........ (don't know if I should laugh or cry right now) but there are errors in the work; some things I haven't had time to fix online; or lineage that I've since found and haven't had time to update online... some of it's from my poor little fingers typing horrible errors on the keyboard - TYPOS! And I was using Familytree maker and it's a mess to disconnect the wrong parents, spouses, etc.... so... I'm only glad it's her name on that cover and not mine:) See, always something postive out of something bad BUT!!! I feel sorry for the people buying this book. $40 bucks! 2. Linda, My Myers clan had BIG families, mostly males, and every one of them named their children the same thing. Thak God for the 1850 Census Even with Bible records you can have the wrong children in the wrong family. Same with my Roberts family. The Wilsons are the 8th most common name in the US; so, you can guess I have a number of brick walls. Bobbye

    3. i was not there fifteen minutes until i found everything i wanted. they have a card index and all of my myers and basses were sticking out like a sore thumb. someone did an excellent job of the indexing in the fort worth library. i have Xeroxed everything there including the book of the minutes of the church...about 300 pages...it is in two volumes and at 25 cents a page no less. they will not let you Xerox the book, they have to do it and it was rather costly but so many wanted the book that we made so many copies, and they insisted that the original cost of my book be added and then we divided the total cost of all the books between us. i did the work, gasoline etc free but they paid for the original plus the copies. it really did not cost all that much when it was all said and done. love, hugs and blessings, helen.

    3. hold on crissy...is that the closest seminary to your churches? now remember they have housed texas materials but doubt that texas would have is it tennessee things. some where in tennessee or the closest seminary to any of your churches but i bet that the seminary in dallas could tell you where to write or call or even e mail now, for the info. it is my understanding that the closest seminary to where ever the church was located... and the same denomination was what they told me. surely, there is more than one methodist or baptist seminary...for gosh sakes, with all these preachers, there would have to be more than one. call your local church...baptist if your ancestor was a baptist or methodist if he was a methodist...and just ask them where the closest seminary is or would be to that church he pastored. glad i could be of some help to someone...usually i am on the receiving end of the line and it feels good to be on the giving end. lots of love and hugs and many many blessings...may they come today. helen.
