Let me first mention that on the 1840 and 1850 Jefferson County, TN Census it clearly shows that a Nancy RUNNELS is living in the household with Susan MYERS, (1840) James age 1 1/2 (1850) age 11 along with Clary, Mary Jane and Eliza. He stated that he was leaving a 20 year old widow and a daughter. The daughter was Lenore Honeycutt. There is, however, the Mystery. Which daughter was he married to. He was hanged for murder at age 25. Some think it was Harriett, but it doesn't jive with her marriage date to Sutton and her move to Missouri.

I'm glad to share it in hopes it will help someone. I tried to be as accurate as possible, but I could have missed someone. Gale Names found on ships' lists at the Olive Tree site. "# " Ships' lists were not at the Olive Tree site and were found in: 30,000 NAMES GERMAN, SWISS, DUTCH, FRENCH AND OTHER IMMIGRANTS IN PENNSYLVANIA FROM 1727 - 1776, by Daniel Rupp. According to German naming customs, a family might give the SAME 1st name (or two) of a favorite saint or deceased family member to all their sons and daughters. Johan / Johann and Hans were male favorites for the 1st names. These sons and daughters were never called by these 1st names but were called by their middle names. Therefore, each Johan/Johann or Hans listed could have never gone by that name. The spelling Johannes was used as a (2nd) given name. I am from Middlesboro, Kentucky and I am not sure if you are talking about Middlesboro Kentucky or Middlesboro England. In Kentucky, my dad was Julius B. Moyers and was the son of Byrd and Matilda Moyers. He had brothers named James Paris, Audie, Clayton, and Dean. He had two sisters named Edith and Retha.
