He was the son of Christopher, son of Georg MOYER/MAYER of old Germanna Colony, Culpeper, VA 3 - Christopher MOYER/MIER/MEYER/MAYER (as seen) whom came in from PA (Lancaster/York/Adams) thru Winchester, Frederick Co., VA (part derived from old Madison Co) VA. All 3 above made their way into Greene Co TN one time or another. Then there are the Christian's, Henry's, Jacob's that just make my head spin! Sure you two know the feeling. On Old Amity Acres Road, the very area where Casper WISTAR of Phila, PA donated (100 acres) in 1738 for the Congregation of Reformed Settlers in the Tulpehoken region (Lebanon/Berks Co., PC) is where the "Evangelical Luthern Church" resides and the old cemetery, just across the road is where Isaac MEIER, founder of MYERSTOWN, Lebanon Co., (just before Berks Co., line) PA is buried. Also, just up the road on Long's Church Road sits another church built in the mid 1700's (these 2 churches look like twins) called Christ Evangelical Luthern is ready to be put up online too but... I spent all evening getting about 110 photos off of my digital camera of these sites with many MOYER MEYER MEIER'S and other associated lines such as KOPPENHAVER WEISS and many more, but Rootsweb must not be finished moving their systems around so, in the meantime if anyone would like to see a photo of a MOYER MEIER or two, I guess you'll just have to email me off the boards, because we can not send HTML formatting out here, only text. But just a shot or 2 each as they're pretty big photos and I'm still working on about 8 more rolls of film from Berks County Cemeteries too. Christie, Everytime I start reading this data I am sure they are related. I just not worked out logistics. THe hair on my arms stands up and waves sorta my clue to double check. I think this is the family that is related to mine somewhere back there. Since they supposedly came from Swiss German border. Wow thanks some of my family is here, I suspect more of family here. Older researchers didn't branch out to try other lines as much as I do to find kin. Seldom does one person go away with out other family with them. I just have to find out who all it was. Rutland Taken From the Henry Republican December 30, 1875 Last week Wednesday the citizens of New Rutland were treated to a real buffalo hunt on the streets of the village. Two veritable wild buffaloes were chased up and down four or five times, until finally one was killed on the street and the other was lassoed by Murry Myers of Wenona. Lebanon area very near the Berks County, PA line where I found the cemetery The Heindenberg Church of the Brethren (Mennonite), located just off Route 501 in Reistown, 3 miles north of Schafferstown & 3 miles before hitting Myerstown, PA. (Very very close to Berks County line and the old settlement area of Wolmdorf, 5 miles east of MYERSTOWN). This is all Swiss Amish Mennonite Country. Does anyone out here know who the below families are, and why they have a 1 separate MIRES living with them? Do they connect? *NOTE: The reason they mean so much to me is that my ggg James Napoleon MYERS b abt 1839 somewhere in Tennessee is a major brickwall for myself and like cousins; fire destroyed all records in 1856 and it's fair fact that Napoleon was left with the MOYERS family in Jefferson Co., TN. Now, the reason these MIRES have meaning to this great mystery is because my Napoleon named his first son Pleasant (my gg). No where do you find this name used in his wife Margaret LINDSEY/ROBERTS/EMERT lines, except with his first cousin John Alexander MOYERS/MYERS and his wife Nancy GANN when they name their son Pleasant too. I just find it odd. Maybe the below Pleasant MIRES is (I dunno).. Somehow the missing link.
