We know he was born in Douglas County, Feb. 14th, 1861, and moved to Wright County, Hartville, MO. Married Mary Ellen Martin. He was born out of wedlock and given his mother's maiden name of Burris. When he married he went to his father and was given a mule and $10.00. We are looking for his father's name and mothers.
