Hi I have a great-great aunt Nancy Adaline Bryan who married Peter Preston Ussery in Johnson Co. IL in 1870. Peter was son of William and Lucrecia Canady Ussery. They had two children Leona Ussery born 1883 and Washington Parker Ussery born in 1895 in Texas. I finally tracked down where Nancy and Washington Porter ended up. They are buried in Smithfield Cemetery, Tarrant Co. TX. I was amazed to find that there was another Ussery in the same cemetery name William Henry Ussery who was born 14 April 1896 in Norwood, MO to John K. and Manda J. Ussery. He died 24 Aug 1973. My question is, since my Ussery family named a daughter Leona as did one of the Wright Co. Usserys and William is buried near my Usserys in Texas, is there a close link between the Wright Co. MO and Johnson Co. IL Usserys? I have a photo of William Henry Ussery's tombstone if anyone is interested. Ted Stout
