So far we have found a total of 19 children for him. Richard and Sarah are buried in the Hopkins cemetery near the Hopkins homestead (1841) on Hwy 38 east of Hartville, and west of Manes. My mother Elma Hopkins married my father in Mountain Grove. Would like to share Hopkins notes. Joe Myers

Joe and Jeanna Luretta "Rett" Redman who married Richard Hopkins and Thomas Lafayette Redman who married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hopkins were siblings of my wife's grandfather Wm Perry Redman. Rebecca Jane Hopkins McGuffy was my wife's gg grandfather Wilson Gaither's second wife. I have a Hopkins file that I can send to you. I also have an article on William Walker I got from a history book that I can send to you. In summary, William Walker was born in Cape May NJ in 1832. He married Sophia Myatt in Bond Co. IL and they had six children. Sophia died in 1877 and William married Charity Green. They had one son and then divorced. In 1887, William Walker married Laura Stapp in Vernon Co. MO. William and Laura had five children and William died Dec 1901 and is buried in an unmarked grave in Mansfield, MO. Laura moved to Wright Co. where she died in 1906 and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery leaving three orphaned children who were each raised by a different family. I was in Oak Grove Cemetery one day and met one of the family members cleaning Laura's grave and he told me most of this story before I ever read it.
