Several family members born in Springfield, Greene Co., MO over a period of 70 yrs. Given names that run in our LEWIS Family are: Benjamin, Franklin, Abraham, William & Thomas. Does anyone know anything about Levi LEWIS other than what I have here? Such as his parents, siblings, where he was between birth 1794 – 1798 NY and marriage 1841 Polk Co., MO? He married Manervy/Manerva POLLY/PALEY GILBERT on January 31, 1841 Polk Co., MO and was in Fayetteville, Washington Co., AR in 1848 for the birth of William and then back to MO in 1860 Williams Twp., Stone Co., MO. (note: children born after William from 1848 to 1858 give their birth locations as MO & AR. But settled in MO for the 1860 & 1870 Census’) Is it possible that my Levi LEWIS is the same Levi LEWIS b. 1796 to Nathaniel LEWIS that lived in PA and knew Joseph SMITH?
