Rowland (name was Jesse Dotson Rowland, Jr.) from the Mansfield Mirror. There's no date on clipping but I know he died 6 July 1915. The obit mentions that he wrote a Wolf Creek community news column for the paper under the name of "You Know". While they don't mention how long before his death he did this, I assume it to be around 1910- maybe later. His wife, Martha Taylor Rowland, died 30 Sept. 1917. I would love to have an obit for her and a sampling of the columns he wrote if anyone has access to the archives of the paper. His daughter Minnie Rowland married Andrew "Drue" Turner - and they stayed around MO, while his daughter Lula Belle married a Samuel Douglas and they ended up in CA. I also wonder if there is a county history that gives any information about these families? I've heard the story that S E Douglas fled to CA to escape prosecution for killing a man but I have no proof or dates, except they were still in MO in 19! 30 census. Will be glad to pay for any copies.
