Arthel was a brother of Nancy Emily Elliott (my ancestor). In 1930, he was living in Mountain Grove. When Nancy died in 1957, he was listed as living in Springfield. Nancy and Arthel's parents were John W. C(ornelius) Elliott and Nancy Summers (I think) Smith of Morgan County, Missouri John W. Elliott's parents were Cornelius Elliott and Evaline/Evalina Lightfoot Elliott of Morgan County, Missouri, by way of Edgar County, Illinois, both born in Kentucky. Nancy Smith's parents were Baxter Smith and Jane Larimore/Laramore of Douglas County, Missouri. Jane Larimore was, I believe, born in North Carolina. A daughter married Franklin Eugene Owens, son of Walter Eugene Owens and Aurora Ann Haggard. He was born 6 SEP 1911 in Mountain Grove,Wright,Mo, and died 1 OCT 1962 in Mountain Grove,Wright,Mo. Children of Living Elliott and Franklin Eugene Owens are: 3 i. Living Owens. 4 ii. Shirley Marie Owens was born 22 AUG 1938 in Mountain Grove, Wright, Mo, and died MAY 1988 in Va. + 5 iii.
