Burley Ellis Hefner, 83, of Springfield MO is being buried in Little Creek Cemetery as I write this. He was born Jan. 23, 1922 in Neosho Rapids, KS; s/o Joda and Bertha Olsen Hefner; moved to the Little Creek community at the age of four; married Virginia Coday in 1947. She survives along with 2 sons, Ellis and Carl; a sister Penny Goad; a brother Tony. He was preceded in death by an infant son; his parents; one sister; two brothers; and his best friend, his dog Candi. ___________ A friend of mine who knows the family quite well says that the surviving sister's name is Pansy....does anyone know?
