Friends, Im needing help with a cemetery near Mountain Grove. A friend sent me a copy of a death certificate for my ancestors sister, Josephine GOODMAN COWDEN. She died 23 June 1921 in Mountain Grove Township. The certificate says the place of burial is Cothern or Cothem, Mountain Grove, on 24 June. Is anyone familiar with this cemetery? Is it an old name for the Lone Star Cemetery on Highway 95, which is what some family members believe? Thanks for your help! Hi Gloria, I noticed in one of the census records where the children of "Duke" cantrell is mentioned that it states..........A Cantrell (no other information)....His name was Aphraim or Ephraim Cantrell he died around 1854 in Wright County and probably was buried near Cantrell Creek.........His family then moved to Laclede, Washington, and Jefferson Counties in Missouri and then to Arkansas......
