Looking for Robert and Elsie Fisher who submitted the George Rogers data to the Wright Co. history book in 1993. George came to Wright Co sometime before 1850. He was born in VA, married in KY, lived in IN and IL before coming to MO. He had 4 sons who served in the Union Army. Looking for any descendants of George Rogers and wife Frances Hicks. Simon Benton was 1st married to Angeline (?), 2nd married to Rachel (Ryan). According to the census, Rachel brought 3 daughters into the marriage: Nettie, Margaret and Nancy Moody Rachel died Sep 13, 1926 and her obit says that she had three children by her first marriage....one survived her....Viola Payton. Which one, Nettie, Margaret or Nancy, went by the name Viola? Phyllis

I believe it is in Elk Creek Township. Or, if you are somewhat familiar with Wright County, you can take Hwy 5 north out of Hartville, turn on Hwy Z, go to the old High Point Store and turn right on a dirt road that will eventually take you to St. George. If you miss High Point Store, you can continue to Hwy H and turn right.
