    1. Raney family, Clark Twp. Wright Co. Mo.
    2. Nancy Boyd
    3. I am looking for information on the Aaron Raney/Rainey/Ranney family from Pulaski Co. Kentucky to Wright County Missouri. What I know is that Aaron Raney married Amanda Jane Barnes, enumerated on the 1870 Pulaski Co. Ky census as Ranney, 1880 Wright Co. Clark Twp Missouri as Rainey. I am most interested in one daughter known as Rhoda E in 1870 and Ellen in 1880. Her information, age and birth place of herself and parents matches that of an Ellen who married John Stephens. I do know that this couple married before 1889 and their first son Mack Stephens was born in 1889/1890 and brother Harry and brother Frank born in the 1890's. I do not find the family on the 1900 census but I do find them on the 1910 Pleasant Valley Twp in Wright Co. I am interested in finding that possibly this Ellen Raney is the wife of John Stephens. Any help and direction or contact with Aaron Raney descendants would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely Nancy M. Phyllis at the Wright County Historical Society found it on the map to be in Montgomery Township, but I was unable to locate it in the area. Anyone know of the exact location of this cemetery? Take Z highway south from Competition, Laclede Co., Mo. Competition is at the junction of Z and O highways. After crossing into Wright County take a left at New Home Rd. This will be about 1 to 1 1/2 miles from the county line and is a dirt road. New Home Rd. will cross Elk Creek and go up a hill. Follow until you see a road to the left called Kincheloe Rd. after about 3/4 mile from Z. Follow Kincheloe Rd. east for about 2 1/4 miles. The cemetery is there on your left just before you drive into the Gasconade River. Frank Brown Kansas City

There were a total of seven children according to that census and these four were the only ones living. All four of these children were born in Missouri. Is there anyone who knows of this Stephens family or is connected? I do know that Ellen died before 1920, and that Mack and Della are buried in the Mansfield Cemetery.
