Kay, et al, I own a portable scanner (wand) and would be willing to make a run or 2 to the Hilsborough Library and scan Brian's books. I could take my lap-top and transfer them to hard drive as the memory card gets filled. Then they could be placed on line and or re-transcribed. We could place them on http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com for free and on a private web page to keep them available--hopefully in perpetuity. The transcribing would go rather quickly if we could find volunteers to "sponsor" and/or transcribe an individual book/volume. They could also be put in a data-base format which would make them easily searchable. All I would need is 1-the go ahead from some one with authority (both from the library and from "the group") and 2- the address to the library in which they are stored. Let me know what you may think of this idea. Tom Caulley
