He was born in Belgrade, Missouri, November 22, 1922, a son of the late George and Martha (Walton) Palmer. December 22, 1947 he was united in marriage to Gertrude Marie "Pete" Walton in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Max Palmer and Lynton Palmer. Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his daughter, Doris Jenkins and her husband Eddie of Potosi; a sister-in-law, June Martin of Belgrade; a brother, Leonard Palmer of Belgrade; three grandchildren, Rick Jenkins and wife Dana of Farmington; Rob Jenkins and wife Susan of St. Peters, and Jamie Meinershagen and husband Shawn of Terre Du Lac; five great grandchildren, Justin, Josh and Paige Jenkins and Jacob and Ivy Meinershagen; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Rob Jenkins, John Walton, Tim Walton, Mike Jinkerson, Tyler Walton and Tyson Walton. Britton Funeral Home, Potosi, was entrusted with all the arrangements, Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, date unknown Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
