Jenkins. Byran departed this life on Friday, June 1, 2012 at his home in Belgrade surrounded by the love and care of his family and friends. Byran was seventy years, seven months and twenty-one days of age at the time of passing. Byran is survived by one daughter, Michelle Smith and husband Clark of Marshall, Missouri; one son Mitch Jenkins of Marshall, Missouri; three grandchildren, Desiree, Amanda and Junior; three step grandchildren, Clark, Jr., Josh and Corey; four great grandchildren, Gabby, Gavin, Jordan, Jaslyn; four step great grandchildren, Bailey, Colton, Lane and Ian; two brothers, Burlin Eric "Ricky" Crocker and wife Kathleen of Farmington, Missouri, Marvin "Junior" Jenkins and wife Hopie of Belgrade, Missouri; two sisters, Nancy Nelson of Farmington, Missouri, Donna Ringo and companion Don Delashmint of Belgrade, Missouri; brother-in-law, Perry Cook of Fredericktown, Missouri, the mother of his children, Marilyn (Ballenger) Jenkins of Marshall, Missouri and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and many dear and special friends. In addition to his parents, Byran was also preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Jenkins, Leonard McGee and Gregory McGee; two sisters, Donita Cook and Sonya Gooch and his step-mother Myrtle Jenkins who was a tremendous influence in his life. Byran had served in the United States Navy; he entered the Navy on May 18, 1959 and was Honorably Discharged on May 17, 1965. He served on the USS Tombigbee (AOG-11) in the 9th Naval District as a Fireman and was also the ship's swimmer, trained in man overboard rescues. Byran had a great love for the out of doors and was always thankful for the many gifts Mother Nature shared. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to take time and go on nature hikes. His family and friends were always in his thoughts; he was a friend to anyone and always willing to help. Byran never met a stranger and was always very kind hearted. Byran will be remembered for many things from throughout his life, but one of the most memorable memories will be his love for others and him never speaking badly about anyone. Visitation was held Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. The funeral service was Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Nash officiating. Honoring Byran and serving as pallbearers were Preston McClary, Garrett Morris, Justen Ringo, Nick Pyeatt, Gerald Morris and Roger Gullett. Final prayers and burial was at the Wright Cemetery, Palmer, Missouri. Full military rights were given by the Missouri Funeral Honors Team and assisted by the VFW Post #6996, Washington County, consisting of a gun volley, Taps and folding and presentation of the American Flag. Services were entrusted into the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
