I just got through watching the program "Find Your Roots" where they traced the history of a colored man. They also did a paternal DNA test & found that he had no African ancestor on his father's side. They told him that that meant that somewhere there was a white man in his paternal ancestry. So I am wondering now about my maternal DNA test. It shows that one of my maternal ancestors originated in Africa 50,000 years ago (Ice Immigrants) & migrated from the Middle East to Europe. The report doesn’t specifically state Africa but on the migration map it shows that that is where my ancestry started in Africa then to the Middle East then to Europe – if I am understanding all of this correctly. So I’m wondering if that means there was an African black woman somewhere way back in my maternal lineage? :-)   Would like some opinions please.......... Esther M.
