He was born on May 17, 1971 at Potosi, a son of Michael and Shirley (Neff) Emily. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reynold Neff, Albert Emily and Ruth Emily. Sam was united in marriage to Stacy Courtway on June 25, 1994 at Potosi, Missouri and one daughter was born to this union. They shared over twelve years of love and devotion. He was employed by the Doe Run Company at Herculaneum. He enjoyed playing pool and sharing time with his friends and family. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Stacy Emily of Potosi; a daughter, Samantha Emily of Potosi; his parents, Michael and Shirley Emily of Potosi; one brother, William Emily and wife Candace of Cadet; one sister, Angie Immekus and friend Ron Reeve of Potosi; his grandmother, Mary Neff of Potosi; a niece, Lauren Immekus, nephew Andrew Emily, aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss his happy smile. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Alva Enloe officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Daniel DeGonia, Rodney Nelson, Kevin Mayberry, Dale Neff, Vincent Trokey and Derrick Thebeau.
