She was born March 18, 1975 to Helen (Gillam) Akers and the late Kenneth Akers. She was a member of the Hopewell Church of God. In addition to her father, Gayla was preceded in death by a son, Braden Lands and a brother, Raymond Akers. Those who remain to mourn her passing include her mother, Helen Akers of Belgrade; husband Tim Henry of Belgrade; two sons, Matthew Lands and Dylan Lands; a daughter, Madylan Lands; five brothers, Jim Akers and wife Randi of Potosi; David Akers and wife Pat of Potosi; Kenneth Wayne Akers of Belgrade; Ricky Akers and wife Sherry of Belgrade and Joe Gollaher of New Mexico; one sister, Pat Marshall of Potosi; cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Jim Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: cousin, Eddie Gillam, nephew, Corey Akers, friend, Matt Lands, nephew, Matt Akers, friend, Lonnie Horton, cousin, Rodney Eckhoff, and nephew, Billy Akers.
