Harold departed this life Sunday, May 29, 2005 at his residence, surrounded by many family and friends, having reached the age of seventy-two years, eight months and twenty-five days. Harold was united in marriage to Hazel Catherine (Politte) Pinson on June 1, 1957 at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines, Missouri, and this union was blessed with five daughters and a son. Harold is survived by his wife, Hazel C. Pinson of Cadet; five daughters, Rhonda Gowen and husband Terry of Bonne Terre, Patty Valle and husband Tony of Richwoods, Carmen Boyer and husband Richard of Cadet, Joyce Hayes and husband Ralph of Jackson and Amy Blair and husband Brian of Cadet; a son, Tim Pinson of Cadet, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; Corey Pinson and wife Abigail of Cadet, Cody Cardwell and Casey Cardwell of Jackson, Missouri, Adam Valle of Richwoods, Nathan Boyer of Cadet, Caleb Hayes of Jackson, Missouri, Cole Gowen of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Elliott Blair of Cadet, Timmy Pinson of Cadet, Connor Hayes of Jackson, MIssouri, Abbey Aubuchon and husband Josh of Cadet, and Chelsea Weible and husband Dustin of Bonne Terre; two stepchildren, Tyler "T.J." Blair and Tim Richard; two great-grandchildren, Corey Joseph Pinson II and Gavin Anthony Pinson; two step great-grandchildren; Olivia Alvers and Chase Medley, a brother, Gary Pinson and wife Barbie of St. Louis, MIs! souri; five sisters, Ronnie Perricone of St. Louis, Dee Dickens of Bonita Springs, Florida, Marilyn Hays of St. Louis, Cheryl Hawks and husband Mike of Warsaw, Missouri, and Donna Blankenship of St. Louis, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth Pinson and Oscar Pinson. Harold will always be remembered for his very generous ways with his love and many talents. He had a wonderful sense of humor that he shared with his family and many friends. He loved the many gifts of Mother Nature whether it was fishing, farming, taking care of his cows, watching horses in the fields, or watching the hummingbirds. Harold enjoyed helping others and staying as busy as possible by taking road trips, trying new restaurants. He was a member of the DeSoto V.F.W. Post #1831, and was very proud of his outstanding military service, having served in the United States Army for several years during the Korean War. Harold loved his grandchildren and family, he was a very special person to so many and will be missed. Visitation was held Wednesday, June 1, 2005 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 2, 2005 from 8:30 to 9:40 a.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. Funeral mass was celebrated Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Burial was in St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri with full Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army and V.F.W. Post #6996 Honor Team. Serving as pallbearers were: Corey Pinson, Cody Cardwell, Casey Cardwell, Adam Valle, Nathan Boyer, Caleb Hayes, Cole Gowen, Elliott Blair, Timmy Pinson and Conner Hayes.
