She was born July 22, 1943 a daughter of Alta (Lawson) Buxton and the late James Earnest Edgar Buxton. Brenda was united in marriage to Walter Thomas Marshall on November 1, 1959 at Irondale, Missouri, and to this union nine children were born. Walter preceded her in death on Jaunary 12, 1993. Brenda enjoyed working in her church, Jehovah's Witness. In addition to her father and husband, Brenda was preceded in death by two sons, James and John Marshall, and a brother, Richard Buxton. Those who remain to mourn her passing are her mother, Alta Buxton of Old Miens; four sons, Thomas Marshall of BeeBee, Arkansas; Jason Marshall and wife Vicky of Mineral Point; Joshua Marshall of Desloge and Joseph Marshall of Desloge; three daughters, Dorothy Gardner of Michigan; Barbara Reising of Fenton, and Julie Launenball and husband Mike of Saudia, Arabia; two brothers, James Buxton and wife Blossom of Irondale and David Buxton of Fulton; eight sisters; Wilma Peterson and husband James of Bismarck; Carol Boren of Leadwood; Earleen Scoggins and husband Frank of Fulton; Betty Hodges of Old Mines; Nita Buxton; Delina Buckholz and husband Francis; Sue Bell and husband David and Peggy Atterberry and husband John, all of Fulton; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Ray Wecker officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Jeremy Aubuchon, Louis Schneedle, Chad Schrum, Michael Litton, Nathaniel Skiles and Frank Skiles. Interment was in Adams Cemetery, Frankclay, Missouri.
