She was born January 6, 1959 in Festus, a daughter of Thomas and Shirley Treaster Carter. On October 16, 1976 in Old Mines, she was united in marriage to Ronnie Boyer and one son was born to this union. Peggy had been employed by Brown Shoe Company in Potosi. She leaves to survive her loving husband, Ronnie Boyer of Route 2, Cadet; one son, Ronnie Boyer, Jr. of the family home; her parents, Tom and Shirley Carter of Route 1, Cadet; one sister, Shirley Gay Wall of Route 2, Cadet; her step grandfather, Emmett Kilmer of Farmington; her parents-in-law, George and Virginia Boyer of Route 2, Cadet; and a host of other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, David Anthony Carter. Parish prayer services were conducted Monday, April 11, 1983 at 6:30 P.M. at Gum and Son Chapel, Potosi, led by Fr. Robert Johnston. The Funeral Mass was conducted Tuesday, April 12, 1983 at 10 A.M. at St. Joachim's Church, Old Mines, with Fr. Johnston the celebrant. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Gum and Son Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Pritchett, Jim Pritchett, Roger Boyer, Mike Boyer, Eddie Boyer and Carol Cook. Article was in a book of Washington County Obits at Washington Co. Library.
