Surnames: Forrester, King, Yount, Mackey, Ferguson Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/lNB.2ACI/3929 Message Board Post: THE INDEPENDANT JOURNAL Potosi, Washington County, Missouri March 25, 1948 Forrester Brothers Die From Storm Injuries John Henry Forrester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Forrester, was born Jan. 3, 1877, and died March 20, 1948, at Ironton Hospital, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 17 days. He was united in marriage to Bessie King on July 15, 1900, and to this union three children were born and one died in infancy. His wife and one daughter preceded him in death, his wife having died 7 years ago on March 21, and his daughter, Mrs. Mary Yount, who died on Nov. 23, 1938. He was married on Feb. 9, 1943 to Mrs. Minnie Mackey who survives. Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Edna Ferguson of St. Louis, five grandchildren, Verna, Arthur, Jr. and Lawrence Ferguson and Wilma and Ruby Yount; two brothers, Robert of Leadwood, and William of Florida, two step sons and three step daughters, nephews and nieces and a host of other friends and relatives. Chester C. Forrester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Forrester, was born March 2, 1882, at Belgrade, and died on March 19, at Bonne Terre Hospital at the age of 66 years and 17 days. He was unmarried and had made his home with his brother, John, for a number of years, having lived all his life in Washington County. He is survived by two brothers, Robert of Leadwood and William of Florida and many relatives and friends. Double services for the Forrester brothers were conducted By Rev. Carl V. Conner and Rev. A. I. Thompson at Belgrade Methodist Church Tuesday, March 23 at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Bryan cemetery by Sparks Funeral Home.
