He departed this life Monday, May 30, 2005 at St. Louis University Hospital having reached the age of sixty-seven years, four months and seven days. Leo was united in marriage to Mary L. (Rulo) Hochstatter on July 6, 1964 in St. Louis, MIssouri. This union was blessed to have two sons. Leo is survived by his wife Mary Hochstatter of Cadet; two sons, Kevin Hochstatter and girlfriend Collen Murphy of St. Louis and Karl Hochstatter and fiance' Angela Perry of St. Louis; four brothers; Ralph Hochstatter of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Kenneth Hochstatter of St. Louis; Herbert Hochstatter and wife Bernadette of Imperial, Missouri and Dewayne Hochstatter of Cahokia, Illinois; four sisters; Margaret Bryant and husband Charlie of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Earlene Mills-Burke and husband Steve of Valmeyer, Illinois; Judith Harper and companion Barry Basham of Belleville, Illinois and Sharon Hochstatter-Allen and husband James of Cahokia, Illinois; two grandchildren; Alex Hochstatter of Hillsboro, Missouri and Kayla Hochstatter of St. Louis, Missouri; stepmother, Lucille Hochstatter of Cahokia, Illinois and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and sister, Delores Hochstatter. Leo enjoyed attending the Redeemer Lutheran Church with his wife Mary, to whom he was married for nearly forty-one years. Leo had a passion for the many gifts of Mother Nature and loved spending time in the outdoors, flower gardening and fishing. He enjoyed attending the air shows, and taking long rides and stopping to eat at different restaurants. Leo also liked to go to Sayers Senior Center to visit his many friends. Leo will be missed very deeply by his many family and friends. Visitation was Friday, June 3, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Walter Lemmermann officiating. Burial took place at the Hopewell Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
