Ratley Dies; Rites Monday William L. Ratley, 82, a resident of El Dorado since 1919, died late Friday at his home, 532 North Griffith, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Ratley retired in 1946 after more than 20 years as an employee of the former El Dorado Refining Company. Born March 15, 1883 in Washington county, Mo., he moved here 46 years ago from Farmington, Mo. In 1940 he and Aletha Dilley were married in El Dorado. He was an active member of the Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Davis of Hammond, Ind., Mrs. Ada Nelson and Mrs. Chickering, both of 519 West Fourth; two sons, Thomas F. Ratley of Fullerton, Calif., and Ivan L. Ratley, Melabar, Fla.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Ruth Scott of Hutchinson, Mrs. Minnie Neumeister, Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. Elva Merle Warren, 517 State. Also surviving are three step-sons, Cleo Hodgens, Phillipsburg, Mo., Kenneth Hodgens of Towanda and Leroy Hodgens, Bois D'Arc, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Ada Cantor, Bismark, Mo.; one half-brother, Renzo Ratley, Ester, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Rudy, and a sister, Emma Marberry. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the assembly of God. The Rev. Anthony Benigas, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be made in Sunset Lawns cemetery. Friends may call at the Dietz- Pittman Funeral Home.
