Nice to hear from you! At this point I don't have Amy Catherine Jordan Gregory in my database. I am assuming she married a Gregory? That doesn't mean she shouldn't be in my database. More likely I've just not gotten to her family yet. I have been focused on the Gregory family members who moved from Washington Co., MO to the Johnson/Hood Co., TX area between 1850-60. They were all married adults at the time of their move and most of their children were born in Washington Co., MO though the youngest of some families were born in Texas. The exceptions to this are the Eaton children. The oldest was born in Washington Co., Mo and the remainder in Perry Co., IL. It doesn't appear they had any children in Texas. Also the Huffstetlers were all born in Washington Co., MO. Levi Huffstetler may have kept on going west to the California gold fields as there doesn't appear to be a record of him in Texas and his wife is always referred to as "the widow Huffstetler". I found the "gold fields" story in an Online genealogy but haven't made contact with the person who posted it so I don't know if there's any documentation for it. I have quite a bit of Texas info but that trail is drying up so I am now moving back in time and location to Washington Co., MO. My thought is to figure out the time when they arrived there and the relationships between the various Gregory people who lived there and their ties to the Texas Gregory people. The ones who moved to Texas were the children of John Gregory and Dorcus. Her maiden name is unknown at this time. I've been able to find 7 children for them. The ones who moved to Texas were Absalom who married Nancy Hull, Malachi who married Catherine Reeves, Mary Polly who married Levi Huffstetler (Huffstutler), Sarah Ann who married John Alexander McCreary, and Dorcus who married Isaac Monroe Eaton. Two of John and Dorcus Gregory's children remained behind in Washington Co., MO. : Louisa Jane who married Isaac Wilburn Ritter and Joel W. who married Sarah A,. Key. These adult children are all mentioned in Dorcus's will. That kind of gives you an idea of the family as I have it--minues dates and other info which I also have. If you can give me your Amy's connections as you know them and some dates for her it'll help me figure out where she belongs in the grand scheme of things.
