She was born January 28, 1914 in Annapolis, MO, the daughter of the late Robert and Alma (Sheldon) Lewis. In 1936 she was united in marriage to Andy Trask, who preceded her in death on October 25, 1977. To this union was born two sons, Ralph Trask "Jean" Trask of Belleview, and Robert "Sandy" Trask of Centralia, MO. Also surviving are a sister, Clara Brown of Annapolis; four grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 37 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Freddie Lewis and four sisters, Macy Slusher, Shirley Johnson, Anna Miller and Maxine Trask. Mary graduated from Washington University with a Bachelor's degree in education. She taught at Carver Creek, Bismarck, Ottery, Potosi and Ironton Elementary Schools. She was a member of the Belleview United Methodist Church and belonged to the Ironton Chapter of the Eastern Star "50 Year Member," charter member of the AV Garden Club, Iron County Health Board, the Retired Teachers Assn., and the Democrat Committee. A memorial funeral service was held on Saturday, November 5, 2005 from the Bryson Funeral Home, Pilot Knob with Rev. Linda Nelson officiating. Interment was in the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery.
