Brooks, 27, Cadet was born November 17, 1977 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the son of Franklin and Joyce Brooks and died Saturday, November 12, 2005 in Washington County. He was a laborer for Fontana Contracting. He was married October 13, 2000 to the former Melissa Boyer. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Brooks of Cadet; his parents, Franklin Brooks of Maryland and Joyce Brooks, DeSoto; a son, Ethan Michael Brooks and a daughter, Abigail Dakota Brooks of Cadet; two brothers; Brian (wife Regina) Brooks, DeSoto and Christopher Brooks, DeSoto; grandfather, Franklin Brooks of Pennsylvania; grandmothers, Elsie Gehron, Oxford, PA and Arlene Fox, Elkton, Maryland; parents-in-law, Kenny and Fran Boyer, DeSoto; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, David Brooks, Jr. David loved hunting and playing golf. Funeral services were set for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2005 from Mahn Funeral Home Chapel, DeSoto, with Pastor Pete Ruble and Deacon Ed Boyer officiating. Burial will be in Charter Memorial Garden, Festus. Memorials were suggested to the Brooks Children's Fund. Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto, was in charge of all arrangements.
