He departed this life Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at Potosi Manor having reached the age of sixty-three years, eight months and nineteen days. Joe was united in marriage to Evelyn Matthews on August 25, 1969 in Potosi, Missouri, and they were blessed to have three children. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Boyet of St. Louis, Missouri; two daughters, Tammy Benson and husband Jeff of Potosi and Tracy McDonald and husband Dale of Potosi; a son, James Dean "J.D." Boyet and wife Tina of Potosi; three sisters, Mary Bell Bodeker and husband Walter of Tilden, Illinois; Georgie Lou Weekley and husband Tom of Marissa, Illinois and Linda Sue Burns of Tilden, Illinois; two brothers, Lonnie "John" Lee Boyet and wife Ruth of St. Genevieve, Missouri and Donald Hubert Boyet and wife Ruth Ann of Coulterville, Illinois; nine grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, Breanna Rose; a brother-in-law, Terry Neimeier of Tilden, Illinois and sister-in-law, Diane Boyet. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris Betty Hatley and Sheila Diane Neimeier; two brothers, Jimmy Wayne Boyet and Doyle Derdell Boyet, and dear and special mother and father, Jim and Nancy Rasnic, who love, cared for and raised Joe. Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, animals and the many gifts of Mother Nature. He liked to play cards and go for rides on the four wheeler. Joe was a member of the BPOE Potosi Lodge #2218. Joe loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren; he enjoyed spending as much time as he could with them. Joe was a very kind man who will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation was held Thursday, November 3, 2005 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. Potosi Elks Lodge #2218 held a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services were held Friday, November 4, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Jim Cartee officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Buddy Boyet, Jerome Boyet, Terry Bodiker, Larry Brown, Kyndell Brown and Pat Stenard. Burial took place at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, November 10, 2005
