Harrison was born in Potosi, MO, January 7, 1923, son of Harrison E. and Katherine (McCabe) Yarbrough. He was blessed to have one brother. Harrison is survived by two nephews, Wilbert, "Bobby" Yarbourgh and wife, Karen of Sullivan and Danny Immekus and wife Chrissy of Potosi; one great-nephew, Matthew Yarbrough and wife, Crystal of Sullivan; one great-niece, Lauren Immekus of Potosi; one great-great niece, Mattilynn Yarbrough of Sullivan; cousins, other relatives and friends. Harrison was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wilford Yarbrough; a sister-in-law, Norlene Yarbrough; two great-nephews, Robert and Gary Yarbrough, and by a special cousin and life long friend, Oral Griggs. Harrison was a Christian and had been raised in the Pentecostal faith. He was a versatile man and had worked in various jobs during his life. For most of his life he had worked in the logging industry, logging with a team of mules. He had also done shoe factory work and had worked for the railroad. Harrison's love of the outdoors and animals remained strong throughout his life and his favorite pastime was raising and training mules. He also enjoyed raising goats. Gardening was another of his hobbies and he took pleasure in sharing the produce he raised. Harrison was very happy to make his home with his nephew, Bobby and his family. Although he had no children of his own, he loved his nephews and wives as though they were his own children. Little Mattilynn was his best buddy and they spent a lot of time together. Sitting under the shade tree, enjoying the beauties of Mother Nature and listening to Bluegrass music were other favorite pastimes. The love and wonderful memo! ries he has created for his family will give them comfort in the days ahead. A devoted and loving uncle, great uncle, great-great uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
