Hedrick, Sr., of Joplin, (Missouri) passed away Thursday, July 28, 2005 at Freeman Hospital, following a brief illness. Ricky was born October 15, 1953 in Cadet, MO, the son of the late Earl and Georgia Hedrick. He has been a Joplin resident for the past twenty-three years. He worked for the City of Joplin as a street foreman. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He married Rita Politte on April 28, 1972 in Cadet, MO, and she survives. Additional survivors include their daughter, Christina Grubb and husband Paul, Joplin; three sons, Ricky Hedrick, Jr., and wife Heidi, Joplin; William Hedrick and wife Angela, Joplin; and Mark Hedrick and wife Amanda, Baxter Springs, Kansas; two brothers, Gary Hedrick and wife Donna, Lee's Summit, MO, and Tom Hedrick and wife LaDonna, Webb City, MO; one sister-in-law, Lucie Hedrick, and thirteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Larry Hedrick, and one sister, Virginia Hedrick. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2005 from Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel, Joplin, with Rev. Lynn Stroup officiating. Burial Fairview Cemetery, Joplin.
