He was born January 3, 1967 at Potosi, Missouri, a son of Carl and Norma (Sloan) Essmyer. Jesse was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Ellen Sloan and Jesse and Helen Essmyer and his mother-in-law Myrtle Adams. He was united in marriage to Robin Adams on November 17, 2002 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Jesse was a member of the Potosi Southern Baptist church and the Iron Workers Local #396. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife, Robin Essmyer of Potosi; parents, Carl and Norma Essmyer of Mineral Point; one son, Adam Essmyer of Bonne Terre; three stepchildren, Clara, Ian and Adam Coleman of Potosi; three brothers, John Essmyer of Hasbrook, New Jersey; Martin Essmyer and wife Lisa of Mineral Point and Tim Essmyer and wife Sandy of Mineral Point; father and mother-in-law, Dean Sr., and Janet Adams of Potosi; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2005 at Potosi Southern Baptist Church, with Rev. John Edwards and Rev. Ervin Harris officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: John Essmyer, Martin Essmyer, Tim Essmyer, Andy Skiles, Dean Adams Jr., J.C. Essmyer, Ted Adams and Adam Coleman. Interment was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, with all the arrangements entrusted to the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi. Independent Journal, Potosi, MO, Thursday, July 28, 2005
