He departed this life Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, having reached the age of fifty-four years, two months and six days. Leonard is survived by one daughter, Lisa Peacher and husband Jeff of Springfield, MIssouri; three sons, Leonard Cook, Jr. and wife Lori of Rolla, Missouri, Joseph Cook of Potosi, and Timothy Cook and wife Sheila of Potosi; two sisters; Deloris Herzburg and husband Kevin of Collinsville, Illinois and Mary Sue Brown and husband Bob of Highridge, Missouri; two brothers, Clinton Cook and wife Julie of Caledonia, Missouri and Dennis Cook of Collinsville; ten grandchildren; Blake J. Cook, Wendy L. Cook, Cali A. Cook, Loran M. McIanahan, Layne M. McIanahan, Dayton Cook, Devon Cook, Casi M. Cook, Landon A. Cook and Alexus Peacher, and by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Cook. Leonard loved his family and spending time with them whenever possible, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed working as a custodian for a cleaning industry. Leonard will be missed by his many family and friends. Visitation was Sunday, August 7, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. Funeral services were Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. John Edwards officiating.
