She was born February 9, 1929 in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of the late Irving H. and Myrtle R. (McGuire) Griggs. Gladys was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church of Potosi. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by a sister, Eunice Nichols and a brother, William Henry Griggs. Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her two daughters, Twila Jarvis and husband Steve of Mineral Point and Regina Schlueter and husband Kenneth of Ferguson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and many other family members and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, May 5, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Tim Thebeau and Carl Wilson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Darren Schlueter, Buckey Draper, Tim Jarvis, Jimmy Farris, Scott Cole and Rick Volner. Interment and final prayers were held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
