He departed this life on Wednesday, April 12, 2006. Don served in World War II in Alaska and on the Eastern Front in Germany where he was captured during the Battle of the Bulge and spent three months in an internment camp, being liberated at the War's end. He is survived by a brother, Max R. Simpson of Kansas City, MO, a sister, Beulah (Simpson) Wallace of Potosi, MO and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Frank W. Simpson of Jacksonville, Florida and Ted Ray Simpson of Potosi, MO. A private family graveside service is being planned later with the assistance of Moore Funeral Home, Potosi.
