She was born at St. Louis, Missouri, September 7, 1966, a daughter of Jannie Boyer and the late Joseph Johnson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Kevin Duncan and a brother, Jeffrey Johnson. Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life are her mother, Jannie Boyer of Tiff; three sons, Michael Gillenwater of Bonne Terre, Christopher Gillenwater of Charleston and Harley Johnson of Tiff; two sisters, Sandra Short of Union and Michelle Perry and husband Scott of Bonne Terre; a brother, Terry Johnson of Tiff; a half-brother, Andrew Johnson of Cadet and a half-sister, Margaret Missey of Blackwell. There will be a memorial service for Melody Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tiff House of Prayer with Rev. Lindell Johnson and Rev. Martha Schaffecotte officiating.
