Sharon, Did you think of the possibility that Clara may have had a child, with her maiden name, before she left for IL? I would check Joseph Courtois in 1910 to see if a son was living in the household about the same age as Clara's age at the time. Then see if a Dorothy, age 13ish is listed in 1930 in another Courtois household -or- Frank's? John's? James? Thomas? Just some thoughts -Kay ------------------------ > then Pulled up the Kingston Dist. 1920 Washington Co., Census and it had: > > Courtois, Joseph, Head, Male, White, 53 > Courtois, Clara, Wife, Female, White, 53 > Courtois Sarah, Daughter, Female, White, 16 > Courtois, Teddy, Son, Male, White, 10 > Nephew, Dorothy, Grandchild, Female, White, 3 2/12 > > What confuses me on this is my Grandmother was Ella Nephew, born 1882.
