He was a self-employed salesperson. Survivors include his stepmother, Pauline Humphrey, Cadet; five sons, Robert S. (wife Elizabeth) Humphrey, St. Clair; Bryan R. Humphrey, Bonne Terre; Benjamin L. Humphrey, San Diego, California; Matthew R. Humphrey, Potosi and David W. (Jennifer) Humphrey, Fort Madison, Iowa; two daughters, Jessica V. Humphrey, Potosi and Shannon C. (husband Sean) Mills, Naples,Florida; five brothers, Jim (Darlene) Humphrey, Stony Point; Larry Humphrey; Emmit Humphrey and Roger (Jeanne) Williams, Cadet and Ronald Pullen, Texas; six sisters, Ginger ( Bill) Caine, Hillsboro; Susan (Michael) Thornton, Cadet; Lori (Stan) Jones, Stanton, MO; Mary (George) Saunders, Jr., Fulton, MO; Diane Humphrey, Illinois and Renee Nielson, Montana; other relatives and friends. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and liked to play golf. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Humphrey and his grandmother, Hettie L. Humphrey. Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2005 from Mahn Funeral Chapel, DeSoto, with Rev. Derry Bowling officiating. Burial was in Peaceful Ridge Cemetery, DeSoto, MO.
