She was born October 1, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the adoptive daughter of Mary and Ken McMillen. Mary Ann was united in marriage to Roger Allen May 25, 1968 and to this union a daughter was born. Roger preceded her in death on May 17, 1992. In addition to her step-parents and her husband, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her loving brother, Donald Duever; mother-in-law, Violet Allen and a brother-in-law, Albert Berger. Mary Ann was a loving and devoted wife and mother, a dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her daughter, Melinda Allen of Potosi; Melinda's fiance' Tim Kingdom of Farmington; Tim's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bayless of Farmington; two sisters-in-law, Nila Berger of Cedar Hill and Janice Duever of California; manynieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews; special friend, Mary Gibson and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Interment and final prayers were held in White Oak Grove Cemetery, Potosi Route. All arrangements were entrusted to the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
