Daryl Accident takes lives of two Potosi men Head-on collision injures two passengers Two people were killed and two were injured Sunday in a accident on Highway 185 in Washington County. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, Robert Nash, 18, of Potosi and David Akers, 20, of Potosi, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. They were taken to Washington County Hospital by Washington County Coroner Bryan DeClue. Nicholas Staley, 18, of Potosi, a passenger of Nash's vehicle, was moderately injured and taken to Washington County Hospital. Mellodie Gleeson, 18, of Potosi, a passenger of Akers' vehicle, who is pregnant, was seriously injured and taken to Washington County Hospital. The ambulance district said one of the passengers was later taken by ambulance to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for further treatment. Reports indicate Nash's vehicle, which was driving northbound on Highway 185, crossed the centerline and struck Akers' southbound vehicle nearly head-on.
