He was born March 27, 1943 in Potosi, Missouri, a son of the late Arthur and Hazel (Price) Cain. In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois McMullin and Oneda Pyles and a brother, Carlos Cain. Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include two sons, Johnny Vance of Potosi and Robert Cain and his wife Dawn of Potosi; three brothers, Lindell, Nolan and Golden Cain; three sisters, Edna Link, Virginia Braken and Diana Tinker; four grandchildren, Courtney, Caitlin, Jonathon and Brianna; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services wre conducted Monday, April 17, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Robert Cain, Golden Cain, Shannon Cain, Jason Cain, Stephen Saunders and Dean Ozee. Interment and final prayers were held at Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Belgrade, MO.
