He departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at his residence having reached the age of seventy-five years, seven months and four days. Teet was united in marriage to Patricia Ruth Sansoucie on August 18, 1951 in DeSoto, Missouri and this union was blessed with six daughters. Teet is survived by six daughters, Phyllis Ann Portell and husband Derrill of Mineral Point; Paula Kay Schubert and husband Mike of Salem, South Carolina; Sandy Holland of Nashville, Tennessee; Patty Roy and husband Ed of Potosi; Brenda Whitehead and husband Mike of Arnold, Missouri and Tammy Hammock and husbadn Dan of Cadet; two brothers, Glennon Thebeau of Arnold, Missouri and Paul Boyer and wife Ina Mae of Old Mines; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Ann Thebeau of Old Mines, Missouri. Teet was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Ruth Thebeau; brother, Vince Thebeau, and very dear friend, Naomi Litton. Teet's greatest love was his family members. They were his pride and joy and he derived great pleasure from each of them. Teet loved his life and lived it to the fullest, leaving behind a legacy of a wonderful family and many friends who will miss his wit and charming wisdom. He was a joy to know and there will be a definite void in all who enjoyed the pleasure of his loyal friendship. Teet enjoyed his many years of employment with the Purcell Tire Company, where he started his career in April 1964; was named DeSoto store manager in 1979 and fully retired in 2000. During his years with Purcell, he was considered as one of the best employees and co-worker. Teet was a longtime member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, a charter and life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5936, Old Mines, where he had the pleasure of being elected Grand Knight 1970-1971 and a former member of the Potosi Elks Lodge #2281 with a thiry-five year membership. To relax, Teet enjoyed rid! ing around his property on his golf cart, boating on the lake and was an avid fan of NASCAR racing. Visitation was held Monday, February 13, 2006 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 14, 2006 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. A funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Bob Thebeau, Danny Thebeau, Tommy Thebeau, Kevin Thebeau, Derrill Wayne Portell, Matt Hammock. Honorary pallbearers were Zachary Politte, and Michael Schubert. Burial took place in the St. Joachim Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Military honors were given by the Missouri Funeral Honors Team for Teet's faithful service and dediction to this great country.
