She was born May 12, 1949 in St. Louis, MIssouri, the daughter of Loretta (Brickey) Essmyer and the late Don H. Essmyer. Janet was united in marriage to Don Glasener in St. Louis, Missouri September 28, 1990. She took particular joy in time spent with her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was an accountant at the U.S. Bank in St. Louis. Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband, Don Glasener of Bellefontaine Neighbors, MO; her mother, Loretta Essmyer of Bellefontaine Neighbors; her grandmother May Brickey of Potosi; a sister, Karen Harms of San Francisco, California; a brother, Kevin D. Essmyer of St. Paul, Missouri; two stepchildren, Then Boeck and John Glasener; grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her. Visitation was held at Stygar Funeral Home in St. Louis Thursday, January 26 at Britton Chapelin Potosi Friday, January 27. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Britton Chapel with Rev. Bill Birch, Pastor of New Providence Presbyterian Church in St. Louis officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Ken Vogl, Kevin M. Essmyer, Don J. Essmyer, Jeremiah Essmyer, Ben Wishmeyer and Bob Andrews. Interment was in the New Masonic Cemetery in Potosi, MO.
