(Juliette) Boyer. She departed this life Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi, Missouri, having reached the age of seventy-two years, ten months and ten days. Bernita was united in marriage to Charles "Junior" Ward September 15, 1951 in Old Mines, Missouri and was blessed with eight children. Bernita is survived by three daughters, Donna Laramore and husband Andrew of Potosi; Ann Cain of Dawsonville, Georgia and Belle Ward of Cadet; five sons, Anthony C. Ward and wife Merellene of Charleston, South Carolina; Lawrence T. Ward of Cadet; Raymond G. Ward and wife Linda of Richwoods; Christopher J. Ward and wife Melissa of DeSoto and Robert J. Ward and wife Eileen of Linn Creek, Missouri; one sister, Kathleen Meckfessell of Afton, Missouri; one brother, Arthur Boyer and wife Arlene of Cadet; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister-in-law, Patricia Allen of Potosi and a brother-in-law, Carl Ward and wife Vicki of Potosi; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles "Junor" Ward; a sister, Marie Robart; two nephews, R.K. and William Joe Boyer. Bernita was a long time member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, and loved spending time in prayer. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and the large family gatherings they had. Bernita enjoyed baking and cooking many things especially meatloaf, playing board games with family and friends, playing miniature golf, and growing flowers. Bernita also enjoyed traveling the United States, especially to Branson, Missouri to enjoy country music concerts, and had seen most country stars. She loved Mother Nature, going hiking and camping whenever she had the time. Bernita also enjoyed going to the Miraculous Medal Shrine in Perryville, Missouri where she would pray for special intentions. Bernita was also a long time co-owner and operator of the Ward Pallet Company. She will long be remembered for her devotion to her Lord, her loving famiy and to the community where she spent her entire life. Visitation was held Sunday, February 5, 2006 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, February 6, 2006 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. A funeral mass was celebrated Monday, February 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: James Robart, Harry Robart, Marty Boyer, Kevin Boyer, Danny Boyer, Bernard Robart, Kyle Cain and Brock Ward. Burial was in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
