He was born at Springfield, Missouri May 4, 1982, a son of Rodney Hollingsworth, Sr. and Caroline (Matlock) Hollingsworth. Rodney loved everyone, especially children. He worked as a child day care giver and had plans to marry his fiance' Brandi Wade. He loved to play video games and go camping. He was a beloved son, dear brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was loved by those who knew him and will be sadly missed by family and many friends. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his fiance' Brandi Wade or Park Hills; his loving and devoted mother Caroline Hollingsworth of Doe Run and father and stepmother Rodney Hollingsworth, Sr. and Bobbie of Desloge; three sisters, Crystal Hollingsworth of Park Hills, Nicole Hollingsworth of Doe Run and Tamra Hollingsworth of Doe Run; grandparents, Marie Matlock of Doe Run and Carol and Bob Myers of South Greenfield, Missouri; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Kevin Kappler officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Mark Brenneke, Kyle Brenneke, Andy Cain, Josh Johnson, Scott Quinton and Steve Barlow. Interment and committal prayers were held at the Horton Cemetery of Belgrade, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
